12/22/2011 Met with Coastal Env. and UW Fac. to verify data was being logged. All seemed fine.
01/05-6/2012 RH sensor appears to have died. Many tests and verifications later, swapped in a replacement RH sensor provided by Paul G. Also, we reprogrammed the logger to include a measurement of internal temperature and to spit out the dewpoint directly.
01/25/2012 A myriad of spikes in RH and temperature resulted in call to Coastal, but no help. So, we changed the RH sensor command to a state in which we think the sensor is always powered, 4 sec sample loop with 5 second warmup time. This was completed approximately 11:40 AM. This tests the hypothesis that the on/off switching of the sensor was somehow interfering with its measurement. Also precip during snow event of Jan 17-21 seems wrong but no action on that yet.
01/30/2012 Changed warmup time for 2nd measurement of T/RH sensor to 5 seconds... RH had gone whacko again around 9:40 AM today and stayed offscale. The particularly nasty spikes were manually edited out of the data.
06/11/2012 Following the instructions of Paul G. at Coastal, we powered the logger off and back on with the toggle switch inside the box. He said that there was a batch of Vasaila RH sensors which need to be power cycled (frequency unknown). We had first tried disconnecting the RH from the switched power but we're not sure if that fixed it or not It is definitely working now, after the full power cycle... for how long??? TBD.
07/02/2012 For how long you ask? Well, it's been up and running for 20 days or so. Died 10PM'ish on July 1. Wasn't running after freshair reboot. Power cycled.
07/09/2012 Well, it's been up and running for 7 days or so. Died 11PM'ish on July 8. Humidity/Temp. sensor died around noon. Power cycled.
08/08/2012 Well, it's been up and running for 29 days or so. Died 4AM'ish on Aug 6. Power cycled.
09/21/2012 Well, it's been up and running for 45 days or so. Temp/Humidity died 11:15 AM'ish. Power cycled.
08/13/2013 Temp/Humidity died 15:xx on the 13th. Power cycled on the 14th..
08/19/2013 Whole thing died 06:48 on the 17th. Wouldn't ping. Power cycled on the 19th.
09/09/2013 Whole thing died around 5PM on the 8th. Wouldn't ping. Power cycled on the 9th around 2:30PM (local). It had produced a smattering of points that got delivered altogether in one minute just prior to dying.
11/19/2013 RH/Temperature went wonky at 03:03 local or so. Power cycled around 16:07.
5/5/2014 No data. Power cycled. Fixed.
5/27/2014 No temp./humid. data. Power cycled. Fixed.
6/09/2014 Offscale temp./humid. data. Power cycled. Fixed.
10/23/2014 Cleared vegetable matter out of the rain gauge funnel and stomped down the weeds within a meter or so of the gauge.
12/11/2014 Rebooted the system and had Harry kill restart the Zeno ingestor on the proper freshair!
02/10/2016 RH/Temperature sensor went offscale negative in late January, popped on for a day or so Feb. 03 and then went wonky again. Today, supply voltage was essentially 0 on the 12vSW-A channel when I arrived. Rebooted the system. Remeasured the voltage after 5 or 10 seconds, still 0. I then measured the supply to the pressure sensor on 12vSW-C channel and it was up over 12. So, I re-re-measured the 12vSW-A and it too was up over 12. Called David who reported RH was alive again.
08/05/2016 Power-cycled today after it dropped off yesterday afternoon.
11/22/2016 Power-cycled today after noticing it had died.
08/30/2018 Added Apogee radiometer and pressure sensor. Now we get .01mb readings and radiation.
