As part of your preparation to be a Mission Specialist for this Mission to Mars, you will have to train in how to use data available to you to help choose a landing site. NASA has already sent unmanned probes to Mars and other planets to do some preliminary surveying. Your mission, (and you will choose to accept it!), is to learn how these previous spacecraft missions were able to "see" the surface and apply that knowledge to your own landing on Mars in the future.
