                  Intel(R) Fortran Compiler 9.0 for Linux*

Introduction

The Intel(R) Fortran Compiler 9.0 for Linux* provides the performance benefits 
of the Intel Fortran Compiler for applications running on Intel processors in 
the Linux environment.

Product Directories

Following successful installation, the files associated with the Intel(R) 
Fortran Compiler 9.0 for Linux* will be installed on your host system.  The 
following directory map indicates the default structure and identifies the 
file types stored in each sub-directory.

  +-- opt (Root level.  Installer can specify a different start level.
       |   Because a different start level is possible, <install-dir> is used
       |   instead of opt/intel/fc/9.0 in this document and other compiler
       |   documents when specifying the installed location of compiler 
       |   files.)

       +-- intel (Directory for the Intel software development products)
             |
             +-- fc (Directory for Intel Fortran compilers)
                  |
                  +--9.0 (Directory for release 9.0 products)

Other Sources of Information

Prior to product installation, you can view this file (README.txt), the 
product Release Notes (ReleaseNotes.htm/.txt), and the product Installation 
Guide (INSTALL.htm/.txt).  After installation, these files are still  
available, but they are located in the /doc subdirectory as well as at the  
same level as the installation file.  Refer to the following locations for 
essential information:

    Installation Information
      The Installation Guide (INSTALL.htm) at <install-dir>/doc/INSTALL.htm
      or at the same level as the installation tar file provides detailed 
      installation information in case a normal installation did not happen.

    Technical Support
      Contact Intel technical support primarily through your Intel(R) Premier 
      Support account and the related web site at https://premier.intel.com/.  
      Refer to the product Release Notes for more information on Technical
      Support.

    Release Information
      Refer to the ReleaseNotes.htm file at this level (pre-installation) or 
      at <install-dir>/doc/ReleaseNotes.htm for System Requirements, Known 
      Limitations, and other links and information.

    Product Documentation
      An HTML file with links to all product documentation for the Intel 
      compiler is available after product installation.  This file is 
      available at <install-dir>/doc/doc_index.htm.  

    Getting Started
      Once installation is complete, you can gain a quick understanding of 
      product operation by executing the procedures in the "Getting Started 
      with the Intel Fortran Compiler for Linux* Systems" document.  This 
      document is available at <install-dir>/doc/Getting_Started.htm.
